" ... a fruity taste with a spicy clove tang."

    *fsshhp*

Slight smell of warm spices, like a warm pub with a real log fire on a cold evening.

Amber colour, fine head over about three quarters of the glass, very few bubbles.

Tangy scent. Smells like fruit salad, heavy on the oranges with a hint of banana, but slightly corrosive. Tastes ... kinda icky. Bonfire toffee, getting on for black treacle, but not sweet. There's a hint of ... something people add to some meals that I don't much like. That could be cloves.

    Not good. Do not recommend.
When I was fifteen, my father thought I knew nothing. When I was twenty-five, I was amazed by how little he thought I'd learned in such a long time.

"Clear and bright with refreshing grapefruit flavours and hints of tropical fruits."

    *shf*

Fruity scent, yes. Three-quarters covered with thin head, moderately bubbly, quite pale, almost like champagne but slightly amber. Tangy first taste, then smooths out to a very mellow finish. Hmm ... more like good, fresh oatmeal bread than grapefruit, but I held that mouthful too long and now I've got the grapefruit taste alright. Very pleasant if you swallow the sip straight away, but the grapefruit's a bit much if you hold it. Certainly at least drinkable. I think it's party-worthy.

    ...

While I'm here, the Peculiar Pale Ale is really nice on draught, but as they don't have it in bottles I haven't reviewed it.
